We are so delighted to learn about the recent amazing achievements of two young people securing their selected university places, after gaining fantastic results in their A level and B Tec’s. As settled, secure, confident individuals this has been a “team effort” because of the fantastic care afforded to them by our remarkable foster carers. Eighteen can be a difficult time for young people in terms of their future and so with them knowing that they will be remaining with their foster carers and in the families where they have grown up, it is wonderful for them. This is an arrangement with the local authority called “Staying Put” and gives that option for all concerned to carry on with their lives, living with their families into adulthood and beyond.
The foster carers are so pleased their girls are staying with them: “We are so very proud of our young person’s achievements and that she is going to remain with us. She is excited about starting university and looking forward to making new friends and studying her chosen subject.”
Such committed and caring foster carers are invaluable individuals, offering children and young people the opportunities to be part of loving, caring families.
