Charlie and Laura

‘Don’t underestimate the difference you can make to a child’s life’

Charlie and Laura have fostered with Flying Colours for nearly six years. Both had previous experience of working with adults with learning disabilities and Charlie was a prison officer. Their own two children were well on their way to independence at the point they began to seriously consider fostering. They found themselves wanting to make a difference and to ‘give something back’ to a child.

They currently foster two children. CJ is an 11 year old girl who has been with them for just over 5 years. TB, aged 3, came to live with them nearly 2 years ago.

TB is a little boy with complex medical needs. He has made amazing progress in Charlie and Laura’s care.

“We have cared for our little boy for 22 months. He came to us at 14 months of age. He requires a very high level of care due to his complex needs. He is a delight to look after and is an integral part of our family. Our aim is to make a difference and help our little boy reach his milestones, to be happy and feel loved.”
