Jim has been involved in children’s social care since 1990 for the first 10 years of his career he worked within residential settings where he became a member of the management team of The Cotswold Community, an internationally respected Therapeutic Community working with adolescents. In 2000 Jim took up a role as Centre Manager for The Integrated Services Programme (ISP), the first Independent fostering Agency in the UK, later becoming Head of Development for the whole organisation.

In 2007 Jim moved to Shropshire to set up Flying Colours on behalf of SACCS. Jim was appointed to the board of SACCS in 2009. Jim became the sole shareholder of Flying Colours prior to the takeover of SACCS by a larger childcare organisation.

Jim is passionate about helping damaged children to heal and repair. He has addressed both national and international conferences focussing on the needs of emotionally damaged children.

Jim is married with two boys and enjoys family life and fantasising about owning a camper van!
